The celebration isn’t all about parades and parties, come to the Rainbow Film Festival held in Shropshire between October 11-13, 2013 and celebrate with your partner. There is a series of pre-festival screenings and Sunday Shorts you can attend to get in the mood for the festival and enjoy with friends. Confirmed for this year’s festival is the appearance of Peter Tatchell. He will take part in a Q&A following the viewing of Out in East Berlin on Sunday at 1:30 pm. For 20 years Glasgow has hosted and celebrated the Glasgay Festival. Come out November 9th through 13th, 2013 and celebrate this long running festival that is more than just pride but a legacy of art, culture, film, music and more. Commissioned for this year’s festival the shows will start on Wednesday October 30th at the Tron Theatre. Finish out August with a trip to Millennium Stadium in Cardiff-Wales at the Cardiff Mardi Gras celebration. This is a magnificent celebration if the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) community. New to the stadium, the festival director hopes to that the new partnership will promote equality and diversity in Wales while providing a fun atmosphere for families and couples. There will be cabaret, drag, and local acts to entertain the crowd also with dicussions and events for teens and children. Local traders, cuisine, and a funfair will round out the Cardiff Mardi Gras event. Come out on August 31st, see the parade, choose a fun costume, and share with your partner a day of merriment.
